Hannah Pedley is a diverse artist, equally happy performing on the opera stage and concert platform.

After training as a dancer she studied at the Royal Northern College of Music where she played the roles of Andronico Tamerlano, Helene Bezukhova War and Peace, the Governess Queen of Spades and Baker's Wife Into the Woods. While still at the Northern, Hannah made her professional debut with Buxton festival as Mastrilla in La Perichole and has built a special relationship with them over the years, performing several roles and recitals there.

She has also worked closely with the dynamic Second Movement, where she has sung in many productions including Dinah Trouble in Tahiti, Madam Flora The Medium, Ruth The Impressario, Mother The Knife's Tears, Marfa Rothschild's Violin and Sally in A Hand of Bridge.

Other highlights include Romeo I Capuleti e i Montecchi at Grange Park and on tour with Pimlico Opera, Nancy Albert Herring for New Kent Opera, the roles of Duck and Policeman in ROH2's Linbury Theatre production of Wind in the Willows, Princess Death Cocteau in the Underworld for ROH2 at Brighton Festival, Musico Manon Lescaut and Kolusina Jenufa for Opera Holland Park and Smeton Anna Bolena and Orlofsky Die Fledermaus for Swansea City Opera.

Hannah has a keen interest in contemporary music and has created roles in The Witch by Andrew M wilson Tavistick Festival, Hollow Hill by Ian McQueen Buxton Festival, Fade by Stefan Weisman Second Movement and most recently Twitterdammerung at the Royal Opera House. Hannah has performed all of the main (and some more obscure) oratorio repertoire and recitals and opera galas in Europe and South America. She has toured Spain with Harry Christopers and the Sixteen, sung the role of Olga in Onegin with I maestri at St John's Smith Square and with London Festival Opera in Russia and has sung with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra on several occasions.

Future engagements include Messiah with Les Agremens in Belgium, St Matthew Passion at Christchurch Priory, further workshops for Turnage's Anna Nicole Smith at the Royal Opera House and the title role in Carmen for Opera Holland Park. Hannah is the mezzo soloist on an album of Gilbert and Sullivan highlights recorded for Sony which was released in November 2008.
