Deborah is currently in rehearsal for Nick Grosso's new play Ingredient X at the Royal Court. Deborah completed a degree in Drama at the University of East Anglia and went on to be an Assistant Director on the Regional Young Theatre Director's Scheme. She was an Associate Director at Theatr Clwyd where she assisted Anthony Hopkins on his production of Uncle Vanya. While at Theatr Clwyd she directed productions of My Sister in this House, Oleanna, Glass Menagerie, Our Country's Good, and Hello and Goodbye. Deborah is now a freelance theatre director.

 

 

Recently she has directed Frank Mcguiness's translation of Euripides's Helen at The Globe with Paul Mcgann and Penny Downie, and Scarborough by Fiona Evans which won a Fringe First at the Edinburgh Festival and then transferred to the Royal Court. Other productions include Taking Sides by Ronald Harwood for Centreline Productions starring Neil Pearson and Julian Glover; Gupreet Kaur Bhatti's Behsharam at Soho Theatre; Blame by Bea Campbell and Judith Jones at the Arcola featuring Lindsay Coulson; and Robert Holman's Making Noise Quietly for The Oxford Stage Company at the Whitehall Theatre and on tour.
